Egyptian Steel was acquired by the National Services Project Organization in 2018 and in 2022 Al Ezz El Dekheila was introduced as a strategic investor.

About NSPO

In the light of carrying out the state's comprehensive plan for development and utilizing the excessive technical and human sources in the Armed Forces without affecting the combat efficiency, the National service projects organization was established in 1979 for the sake of achieving the relative self-sufficiency of the Armed forces requirements as well as locally and internationally marketing the surplus.

  • Create productive entities in the fields of engineering, industrial, agricultural, animal production and poultry and food industries.
  • Achieving self-sufficiency in some of the requirements necessary for Armed Forces.
  • Offering companies products in the domestic market at affordable prices.
  • Providing job opportunities in NSPO companies for young people from different specializations and levels of scientific qualification as well as training them to create specialized careers in all fields.

NSPO Achievements

NSPO is a pioneer national organization supporting the Egyptian economy by achieving many accomplishments, including the following:

  • Creation of fixed and mobile outlets to sell products at cost price.
  • Supply the state agencies products at cost price.
  • Importing the finest kinds of meat and offering it to Egyptian citizens at cost price.
  • Cultivation of thousands of acres in rafrh and East Owinat.
  • Providing job opportunities for young people from different specializations and scientific qualification.
  • Building many fuel stations across Egypt.
  • Create and develop highways.
  • Building the latest marble and gypsum factories..
  • Building the production of chemicals and fertilizer plants.
  • The development of lakes and water bodies and increase its productivity.
